Collaborative, Client-Centered Counselling

Helping you move forward by engaging in your strengths and exploring new possibilities!

I work with clients to address these concerns:
I have extensive experience working with people who are displaced by socio-economic factors, and appreciate the value of a counselling service that is affordable for people.  I have worked with people from diverse cultures in settlement service with non-profit agencies in Metro Vancouver.  Their fighting spirit has been the inspiration for my practice.  I believe that hope is possible in seemingly impossible situations, and clients have the hidden answer to their challenges.

For over 20 years, I have worked with clients who experience anxiety, depression, traumatic stress including grief and loss as they adjust to life transition  I am a  Clinical Counsellor with a background in teaching and working with immigrant families.  I have experience in group facilitation and peer support for immigrants and people with chronic illness.  In my practice, I have exposed myself to a wide range of clinical approaches to support clients.

“Compassion asks us to go where it hurts to enter into the places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish.   Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means immersion in the condition of being human.”  Henri Nouwen
